Labor Day Weekend in New Jersey

Since planning memories is my job, my family always turns to me for advice.... This year I tried something different, I let my husband do all the memory planning. I must say he did a great job! Friday night we made it out to Wallington Lanes in Wallington, NJ, (this was a find by an old friend of mine) and we had a blast! The photo above does not do this place any justice! Wallington Lanes is packed with glowing lanes, 3 bowling sections, projector screens playing the hottest videos, great food and for the adults a bar smack in the middle of the venue. Plan a birthday party or even a corporate event and I guarantee you'll be hit!

Saturday, we made it out to the Hoboken Grill in Hoboken, NJ for brunch, well I had eggs benedict and a mimosa while my husband chomped on an Angus Burger and my4 year old demolished a warm chocolate cake. The Hoboken Grill has to be my favorite bar & grill to date and I especially love the grilled chicken sandwich with pesto mayo! We finished off the evening with a peaceful dinner for 2 at UNO Chicago Bar & Grill in Clifton, NJ; Lobster & Shrimp Pasta in garlic wine sauce, Chicken Spinnaccoli and a pitcher of Peach Sangria and a gruesome flick; Robert Rodriquez's Machete! I loved seeing LOST characters Michelle Rodriquez & Jeff Fahey, Cheech, Steven Seagal, Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro and of course Don Johnson! I love Miami Vice. Last but not least ( i wouldn't want to mess with the wrong Mexican) Danny Trejo, what an outstanding bad guy!

Sunday, my husband brought back a blast from the past and suggested Rye Playland in Rye, NY! Wow, it must have been 20 years since I had been there last and boy did it bring back memories, although I remember not having to pay to get in. LOL My 4 year old daughter had a blast and I made sure I put her on all of my favorite rides! I LOVED THE KIDDY WHIP!

Finally Monday, it was back to life and we stood home and enjoyed the day....

I am a strong believer in Planning Memories, but sometimes the best memories are never planned!
